Anderson
Repeater Club, Inc.
May, 2007
Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 1. However, due to the rescheduling of the National Guard CST from last month to this month we’re going to cancel the regular meeting and suggest that you join us at the Anderson Fire Department Station 1 at 6PM on Tuesday. The “Community Support Team” stationed in Indianapolis is like a Super HAZMAT Team. In addition to the chemical, biological and radiological equipment they have an ambulance sized communications vehicle that should be of interest to us. The County EMA HAZMAT Team is hosting this show-and-tell, and we’ll have our MCU there too.
Dues continue to be welcomed at any time. You can send them to the Club mailbox:

Dues are still $20.00. I believe that I’ve delivered all the membership cards for dues paid up to now, so if you’ve paid but not received your card let me know.
By the way, we have received the check for the $1600 from the County for the Weather Station that we purchased for Elwood.
The Technical Committee visited the .82 repeater site last month and performed the preventative maintenance for the year. Due to an earlier problem we had defeated the “lower antenna” relay, and the guys got that reinstalled as they checked the connections. All went well with the exception of the controller memory. For some reason we lost the pre-recorded messages. Phil, WB9URL, our controller expert, is working on the issue.
All of our repeaters are working very well this spring. We’ve not suffered from interference that has happened in the past. Hopefully our luck will continue.
Dick, WA9STB, reports that the Madison County ARC is participating in the Indiana QSO Party this Saturday, May 5, from 11AM to 11PM from the Club Room at the EOC. Everyone is invited to come out and participate or just watch what is going on. It’ll be a good warm-up for Field Day.
Remember that the Dayton Hamvention is upcoming on May 18 to 20.
