Weather Update Tom Harbron gave updates on several weather events.

1. Thursday June 26, 2014 storms moved through the county from northwest to southeast. Reports southeast of Anderson of a funnel cloud a lot by a Madison County Sheriff’s Deputy. There were several reports of a touch down. Our investigation revealed no evidence of a touch down. The corn was tall enough it would have been visible. We had some minor straight line wind damage.

2. Tuesday June 24, 2014 there was a flash flood warning issued for Madison County. Tornado warnings were issued for Hendricks, Boone and Marion Counties. The first track had it following State Road 37 toward Elwood. The storm weakened and posed no threat to the county.

3. Monday June 30, 2014 there was four storm waved that came from Iowa during the day. One event cause a derachio that recorded measured winds of 78 miles per hour.

We still need some back up Net Control Operators for the day time hours mostly. There were no takers to volunteer to assist.

Field Day Dale Bales reported pretty uneventful but they had a nice turn out. Amateur Radio License Orientation meeting nobody showed up. Dale passed out a flyer he prepared to pass out to potential students of literature and web sites they could use to study. Going to use a self-study format and offer assistance on an as needed basis.

There were considerable questions as to the status of the Madison County Amateur Radio Club when the EOC moves to Mounds Road. They were informed they would be moving to the new EOC but other details unavailable at this time.

Motion by Charlie Jones K9TZJ and second by Dave Bendt KB9NTG for adjournment. All present voted in favor to adjourn.

Meeting ended at 1948.
