Minutes of Meeting – January 05, 2010


Meeting called to order at 1905 with 15 in attendance.
Present were: KC9AOM, KC9JWO, WA9STB, KB9SCC, KC9BKZ, KC9IYI, KC9NCR, KB9NTG, KD9DR, KC9PWR, W9EEL, N9RMZ, K9TL [Guest of N9RMZ], KB9VE, KAYSYP.

Minutes were approved as published. Motion by Tom W9EELsecond by Allen KC9JWO, and all present voted in favor.
Treasurers Report Balance forward was $2315.36
Disbursements of $21.00 for batteries for weather station
Income of $380.00 in 2010 dues
New balance $2674.36
Motion by Dick WA9STB and second by Larry KC9SCC, and all present voted in favor.

Illness Dick Elmore reported that Bob Shelton K9IND was now at Crown Pointe. He has the same phone number. Bob sold all of his amateur equipment except for a two meter hand held.

Nomination of 2010 officers. Motion made by Dick WA9STB and second by Dave KB9NTG to retain the 2009 officers for 2010. andersonrepeaterclub.org 4 Motion by Allen KC9JWOand second by Larry KB9SCC to close nominations. Both motions were voted on and all present voted in favor.

Tom W9EEL thank the officers for the job they did in 2009.

82 Repeater Report
Tom KA9SYP reported that we now have the funding from EMA to purchase the new antenna and feed line for the repeater. Along with the money for installation form the club account. Tom W9EEL reported that the cavities need to be re-tuned before spring.

09 Repeater Report
Tim KB9VE reported that the IRLP ran about sixteen hours on New Years Eve and New Years day without any problems. Running smooth.

UHF Repeater Report
Tim KB9VE reported that Steve WA9CWE has not moved the repeater to the new building so we can have back up power.

Web Site report no problems or comments.

Weather Station no problems.

EMA Update
Tom KA9SYP reported that all of the H1N1 flu shot distributions are complete. We participated in seven in the county. Unless there is an out break we are done. The county health department is doing vaccinations in their office. We had a good turn out and participation in the clinics. This was a good exercise for training and problem solving. We had a few hiccups by was able to make the amateur systems work. Everything is geared back toward District Six. The communications plan is to be reviewed by the DPC January 14, 2010. IMT training is starting this month also.

Weather Updates:
Tom W9EEL report this year’s annual Stormnet training with by at Pendleton Fire on Tuesday March 16, 2010 at 1900. It will be held at the Pendleton Fire Department 100 South Broadway Street. Dave Tucek will be there to do his program for us.

Warning Division 2009 report showed that we were active half as much as 2008. The predicted snow this Thursday should hit the county between 0800 and 1400. Predictions of 4-7 inches of powdery snow so drifting should be an issue. Tom also reported that with the wind shift late Thursday and Friday we may also follow up with lake effect snow. Snow should by fluffy and a fair amount of wind so drifting should be a problem.

Motion to adjourn was made by Larry KB9SCC and second by Dave KB9NTG, with all present voting in favor.

Meeting ended at 1931.

Doug Davis K9TL was a guest of Toby N9RMZ; he moved to Frankton in November from Terre Haute and asked for a club membership application, which we provided him. After the meeting Tom and I gave him a tour of the EOC and explained what we do. He seemed to be interested.
